  • Matt Ebert of ACT UP was arrested inside Trump Tower on On Oct. 31, 1989. Roughly 100 protesters from ACT UP descended on Trump Tower at 5th Avenue and 56th Street. The Trump Tower protest was organized by ACT UP’s Housing Committee, which hoped to draw attention to the lack of housing for homeless people with AIDS.

Mark Carson of ACT UP was arrested when NYPD claimed he was interfering with the arrest of two men who had attacked Karl Soehnlein, Alan Klein and Darren Britton with lacrosse sticks. His arrest prompted a protest march of 200 people to the 9th Precinct, (though he'd actually been taken to the 7th Precinct)
