Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence - Stop The Church

On December 8,1989, ACT UP and WHAM! made history with a massive protest at St.Patrick's Cathedral. Five thousand people protested the Roman Catholic Archdiocese's public stand against AIDS education and condom distribution, and its opposition to a women's right to abortion.

The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, also called Order of Perpetual Indulgence is a charity, protest, and street performance organization that uses drag and religious imagery to call attention to sexual intolerance and satirizes issues of gender and morality.
