Kavanaugh Protest

14 images Created 12 May 2020

On October 4th, 2018 approximately 1000 people marched through Washing ton DC to protest the appointment, by President Donald trump, of Brett Kavanaugh, to the Supreme Court of the United States.

The protesters marched from the federal courthouse to the Supreme Court to the Senate. They were hoping to sway a handful of lawmakers considered swing votes in determining the fate of Kavanaugh after Christine Blasey Ford, accused the judge of sexually assaulting her at a high school party 36 years ago, a claim Kavanaugh denies.

At least 300 people were arrested for sitting down in the atrium of the Hart Building and refusing to leave.
